| Sao Mai (Morning Star) is a traditional chinese sea junk made
out of cho chi and sao teak wood. She was built in 1996 on the
Saigon river in Vietnam. Sao Mai is the first chinese junk to
go around the world and has sailed to this day more than 40
000 nautical miles through Cambodia, the Indian Ocean, South
Africa, Cap of Good Hope, Brazil, deep north Atlantic, Brittany, Portugal, Spain, Mediterranean Sea, Marocco, the Canary
Islands .... and Saint Barthélemy !!! |
